Let me know if you find what brand this was labeled. Compare to other Japanese ES-335 copies priced to sell. It has a nice long lead wire of 12 inches It comes complete with the original Black Pickup surround and the installation. They not only made their guitars, but also made their high quality pickups like these. Could very easily be gig-worthy and plays/feels great.ĭue to the 3-4 things (wiring, action adjustment selector part) a medium setup should fix for you fine (if you don't work on them yourself), but price reflects such. This cool Neck Pickup came from a Teisco Guitar. The body is in overall good shape with barely any dings or scratches. Vibrato arm is stock,would benefit from set up as well.
The pickup selector has chipped off but can easily have a new knob put on/be replaced for cheap. Tone knob does not seem to have much effect. Very punchy, could almost sound like and electric acoustic with newer strings. The bridge pickup alone doesn't seem to work, but when switched to middle (both) or neck it works and sounds great. Guitar could benefit from a setup, action is not bad no buzzing or dead frets, though it gets just a little higher past the tenth feet though not unplayable by any means. Please see photos for condition and ask any questions you'd like. The tuners aren't Gibson deluxes but are better than a lot of the tuners on old ones. Hard to find much info on this guitar, a friend found one online has found a few very close, but it is without a doubt from the Japanese factories that mad Kent/Univox/Teisco/Kent etc., can tell its a nicer model due to the back of the neck.
